Before booking at The Plantation make sure of the location. Location is very important at the Plantation. One of the great amenities is the eight-foot waterfall. If you like falling asleep to the sound of a waterfall or gazing at the well-manicured grounds and the easy access to the large hot tub at night before you drift off to sleep our condominium is the place for you. You do not need to be out of touch with the world, your banking, and investing or local news as we provide a computer for your convenience. The Plantation at Princeville is one of the newest and most beautiful condominiums in Princeville. Our condominium has been tastefully decorated and includes all the items you would find in your own home. Three cable TVs and Hi/Spd Computer.
This is one of the best locations at The Plantation as it is near the pool and fitness center within the inner circle far away from the traffic noise of the outer units. It has great views of the gardens and pool from the lanai. This is a ground floor unit with attached garage providing easy access and has over 1300 square feet of living space. Coming to the Big Island? Our home is available after April 27th. Our home is awesome. Two stories, but we only rent upstairs. Downstairs is strictly storage, so you never share our home with anyone or any other family.
We are located on the South east Point of the Big island in a small oceanside community village called Kapoho Kai. Locals Know us as Vacationland,
In my opinion, we have one of the best snorkeling reserves on the entire Island.
Our home sleeps up to five persons, is fully furnished, has wrap around outside decks, covered by our custom roof. this outside walkway leads to our ocean view lanai and star view terrace.
Kids are welcome, but I can't allow pets.
The Kapoho tidepool area is a marine wildlife sanctuary and protected by the State. It's a huge area loaded with individual tidepools. these tidepools are becoming world famous for their enornous ocean life populations, beautiful corals, and protected from the pounding surf by a natural volcanic shelf.

This is not one of those rentals that advertise close to the beach but is actually on the polluted Ala Wai Canal nor is it one of those residential walk up buildings that has no elevators thus leaving you to carry your luggage up and down many flights of stairs. Kalakaua is where all the major hotels are one block to the beach. The unit is equipped with a Pentium IV computer that allows high speed internet access and Wi-Fi for your laptops. This is an immaculate one bedroom that sleeps four comfortably. It has a Deluxe King bed in the bedroom and a very comfortable sleeper couch bed with lots of extra linens. There is also a single futon with linens. This suite has been stocked with X Box & games and a movie video library. It boasts a full kitchen with brand new refrigerator, stove/oven, pots, pans, rice cooker, dishes and silverware. Also deluxe Sharper Image T-Fal toaster, heavy duty blender, 2 color TVs, 2 stereos(CD & Tape), 2 VCRs, 2 DVD Players, Panasonic microwave, tea pot, coffee maker and grinder, 2 remote phones, 2 smoke alarms, iron and ironing board, large vacuum w/hand vacuum, alarm clock radio/CD player and ipod docking station/player/charger in the bedroom.
The unit is on the second floor and easily accessible by stairs or elevator....just 5 steps from the elevator and parking. You will enjoy visiting because of your proximity to the beach, (Hilton Hawaiiian Village Beach Resort and Spa) and ocean activities, shopping (Ala Moana Shopping Center), grocery store (The Food Pantry), night life, restaurants and of course the new Hawaii Convention Center. Nearby activities: Golf, Tennis, Fishing, Wildlife Viewing, Shopping, Restaurants, Live Theater, Cinemas, Museums, Sightseeing, Swimming, Snorkeling & Diving, Boating, Sailing, Surfing, Windsurfing, Parasailing, Jet Skiing, Shelling. The unit is one block to the beach and (Waikiki) is just 25 minutes from the airport.
HOW TO GET TO THE BEACH FROM THE CONDO: Go out the front of the building and Right at the sidewalk to the corner. Turn Right at the corner without crossing the street. At the next corner you will be adjacent to the Hilton Hawaiian Village Beach Resort and Spa. Just cross the street.
You can find cheaper units, but this is by far the most for your money. My old rate was $129 per night. I have dropped the price to $99 except for the Holiday period from December 15 to January 15. This is a temporary special rate. Rate is based on double occupancy. Please add $14 per person per night after two people.

We enjoyed being able to walk to the beach and also walk to the many shops and restaurants located in Waikiki. The included parking is a huge plus and inexpensive laundry facilities also was nice. Having the internet available was great and with a computer set up in the room my son was also able to use it for homework while I was surfing the net on my laptop. YES! White powdery sand beach just 30 steps from the condo. The normal rate is $174 per night. This is a temporary special offer. This is a true one bedroom that sleeps four to six comfortably. It is not one of those studios with a small bed niche that others in the building (Pats at Punaluu) try to pass off as a one bedroom. This unit is the ground floor corner unit, the most preferred location. All visitors have agreed that this unit is absolutely the best location in the building. Luxurious upgrades include granite counter top, travertine type flooring, $3,000 massage chair, new dishwasher and state of the art ceiling fans. It has a Deluxe King bed with pillowtop mattress in the bedroom, a full size "top of the line" futon couch which is more comfortable than a bed (at a cost of more than $400 for the futon mattress alone), 2 single futons and even an extra full size king air mattress with pump and lots of extra linens. There is a Pentium IV computer in the bedroom that has unlimited high speed internet access and Wi-Fi for your laptops. The unit is stocked with quality snorkeling equipment, quality Boogie boards, movie video library and even books. There is a full kitchen with large refrigerator, stove/oven, pots, pans, dishes and silverware, paintings of ocean and ocean life, track lighting in both front and back rooms, acrylic glass set, microwave containers, knife set, 'patio set with cushions .....Also deluxe toaster oven w/rotisserie, automatic rice cooker, 2 color TVs, VCR, DVD Player, Panasonic microwave, coffee maker and grinder, Kenmore washer/dryer, remote phone, leather Recliner chair and clock radio/CD player in the bedroom.
You will enjoy visiting because part of the time you have the white sandy beach completely to yourself (Yes it is always safe). The area (Hauula) is on the opposite side of the island from the airport and Waikiki. About 45 minutes to an hour drive. It is not far from the Polynesian Cultural Center (about a 10 min.drive). The city bus line picks up directly in front of the unit. Sunset Beach is about 15 minutes away.
Baywatch Hawaii was filmed about 25 minutes away in Haleiwa and North Shore on FOX was filmed 20 minutes away in the same direction. "Lost" is presently filming in Waialua past Haleiwa. Foodland Supermarket is a major chain in Hawaii and has one ten minutes away. The building is eight stories high. Avoid lengthy elevator waits on your vacation. It is thirty steps to a white secluded sandy beach. The ocean is calm because of a reef 1/4 mile out which blocks the waves. It is perfect for kids to enjoy snorkeling and swimming. The building has amenities like professional Bar-b-que area, gym with sauna, swimming pool next to your unit and sunning area behind your unit. Your parking stall is included and located right in front of the unit.
This is the ground floor, corner unit so you avoid lengthy elevator waits on your vacation. This is the preferred size and location. The unit extends from one end of the building to the other and measures approximately 850 sq. ft. My old rate was $174 per night. I have temporarily dropped the price to $139 except for the Holiday period from December 15 to January 15. This is a temporary special rate. Rate is based on occupancy of up to four people. Perfectly situated on the eastern side of the island, great for exploring all of Oahu and still have a quiet home base to return to. There's big waves and lots of surfing and shopping close by to the North (don't forget the Turtles, FANTASTIC!) and easy to make your way around the whole island from Punalu'u. Swim in the pool. We found the beach in our own back yard to be the BEST! Snorkel, swim, sunbath. Perfect water temperature. The condo is great and you really feel welcome, just home. Everything you need for cooking, relaxing, entertainment, even a washer and dryer (don't over pack like I did). We don't have kids but there seemed to be a more than ample supply of things for children and besides if your kids are anything like what ours used to be like they will never want to get out of the water. We spent hours there. The condo was wonderful and we are already planning our return visit.

While we were originally cautious about booking such a long stay, sight unseen, I will say that his condo is exactly as described. Everything we could have needed or wanted. Beach gear and toys for all ages, lots of extra towels and sheets, huge paperback library, we borrowed 1 and left several of our own. Very well stocked kitchen.
Best of all... location location location. We could stay home at pool or beach, or be a short 20-30 minute drive from Kanehoe, Kailua, or Makapuu to the south or 20 min. north to the best snorkeling at Sharks Cove & 3 Tables (don't waste $$ or time on Hanuama Bay, too crowded), surfing at Chen's reef. Just the best. NOTE: shop at Foodland at Sharks Cove rather than Laie, much cheaper! Giovanni's Shrimp was GREAT.
Emmanuel checked in with us, more than once, to make sure all was well. We had one very small issue and he took care of it right away. I give this 2 thumbs up!! For us ex-kamaaina's it was good to be away from "concrete city" (Waikiki) and revisit island living. It was great to be so close to Turtle Bay for golfing/drinks; stop in at Crouching Lion for dinner/drinks; shop at Tamura's (cheaper than Foodland); and be sure to go to the Polynesian Cultural Center about 5 miles away. It's pricey but it is absolutely the best! Emmanuel is a really cool braddah that is easy to get ahold of and quick to respond!

Very relaxing. Literally steps away from the quiet beach and miles away from the busy city. If you are seeking a restful and secluded place for your future vacation then stay here!!! Accommodations were nothing but exceptional (they even had nail polisher remover and cotton balls!!!) We visited the Dole pineapple plantation and it was really fun and short. And great tasting pineapples!!!

Its in a perfect spot to really see all of the island and just far enough away from downtown to feel like you are away from the rat race. The beach is really nice although we were unlucky with the weather. The natives told us that the windy overcast weather we experienced was unusual but we were able to get one good day at the beach. This condo is a great value for anyone looking to get away from the crowds but not spend a fortune. The condo is decorated really nice and has everything you need.

There is a private beach, really peaceful... So one way you get an amazing view of the beach, and the other way, you get a view of the beautiful mountains... So PERFECT! The condo has internet access, tv, huge king sized bed, futon, enclosed patio (but the breeze just flows right through). Towels, laundry facilities in the unit, pots, pans, cups, blankets, pillows... Seriously, everything you need is there! It's a very nicely decorated unit!!!! But also has that beachy, laid-back Hawaiian feel to it. I am SOOOOOO glad I found this place! I loved it so much here, that I am seriously considering buying a unit in the complex. Stay here, you wont regret it! I give it tons of thumbs up!

10/05/08 Positive What a wonderful condo for us to enjoy on our very first trip to Hawaii in September this year. Very nicely decorated, very clean and within 30 steps to the beach, where the water was absolutely beautiful & calm. Everyday we practically had the beach to ourselves, where we made use of the snorkling equipment provided. We saw many different beautiful schools of fish, a morey eel & a sea turtle one day. We enjoyed sitting out on the lanai every morning to have our breakfast and enjoy the view. If you turn right out of the condos, you can enjoy a very nice 30 minuite drive to Sunset Beach and watch the surfers. Another 15 minutes or so to we were at Haleiwa with its cool atmosphere, plenty of nice restaurants and shops. We loved driving to Waikiki and shopping at the International Market.
There is just so much to do, but the best thing is you get to come home to such a great relaxing place.

07/31/08 Positive Our family had a wonderful seven day visit at the condo. Before arriving, we were a little concerned about finding comfortable accommodations for all six of us. Upon arriving we were pleased to find that there was plenty of room and bedding for all.
Everything was as described on the website. Boogie boards and snorkeling equipment were great and everyone was able to find equipment that fit! Kitchen was well stocked with utensils, spices and basics. Pool, patio area and beach were only steps away. (Great area for snorkeling and calm beach for the kids.) Computer with internet was a big help. Always felt safe on the beach and in the neighborhood.
We were a little apprehensive before arriving because we had found the condo on the internet. We are now totally thrilled with the rental. 07/02/08 Positive Fantastic! This condo is right on the beach. I love the three dining tables with umbrellas adjacent to the swimming pool area. I didn't get a sunburn and I was out in the sun for 2 days on the beach. I had a nice glass of wine and some snacks at the tables as the sun set on the beautiful beach. The water is calmer early in the morning. I found the afternoon surf and undertow quite strong. I would recommend swimming in the morning if possible. The condo was great. Highly recommended.

02/25/08 Positive My husband and I just got back from a glorious week at Emanuel's condo on the lovely windward coast. If you are looking for a quiet, empty, beautiful beachfront place,this is it. The condo is simple but very clean, and well-stocked. We have our own snorkeling gear, but he does stock the place with lots of stuff if you don't. There are beach chairs, boogie boards, and lots of videos, books, etc. (we never used those once!) The beach is safe for kids, because it's protected by the reef 1/2 mile (?) away, but it's also great for snorkeling. I saw a 400-500 lb. sea turtle a few hundred feet out toward the reef. There are plenty of fish and sealife! Many of the people are retired residents and very friendly. Even Ken, the caretaker/gardener, was super helpful with snorkel/travel tips. The north shore waves/ Haleiwa town is about 20-30 mins. north, and Kaneohe Bay about the same distance south. This is NOT the place if you like to party, drink, club and have Waikiki style beaches and fancy accomodations. We never saw more than 7-8 people at a time on the entire stretch of beach. Also, the washer/dryer is very convenient- you go home with clean laundry! I was worried renting off of craigslist, but it really worked out.

01/01/08 Positive We just got home (12/31/07) from a one week stay at Mr. Chen's condo. Everything from start to finish was a wonderful experience!! He is very quick to respond to your emails and I was very impressed to get a personal phone call from him before our arrival.
It was a pleasant drive from Honolulu and I could do it like I lived there after a couple of days. The weather did not quite work in our favor to partake in all of the beach gear, but we definitely want to try again when it is not Winter.
Everything was fabulous and it felt like home. Would never stay in a hotel when the beach is right outside the door. Who could ask for anything more! It made our first trip to Hawaii very enjoyable and much more relaxing with a 1 year old and his 8 year old sister!

This is not Waikiki. We overlook Waikiki, Diamond Head and Downtown Business District. We live up Alewa Dr. We have a great view and cooler mountain temps and breezes. The studio is small, only 200 sq. feet. The unit is cozy with a full size bed, cable, wireless, private kitchen and bath area. There is plenty of safe and free street parking. Our Ali'i Kai Master Suite Studio was FULLY renovated in January 2006. This sharp little studio offers a new bathroom with granite walk-in shower and Kohler fixtures, king-size bed, private lanai, ceiling fan, powerful A/C and 24" flat screen TV with VCR & DVD. It sports a cute kitchenette with granite counter, maple cabinets, micro-convection oven, coffee maker and mini-fridge. Plus, the entire unit is covered with luxurious Italian porcelain tile. Be aware that there is no cooktop or local phone.
We provide beach towels, beach chairs, a beach umbrella, a cooler plus BBQ utensils for use with the professional quality propane grill in the pool area just outside.
We do also provide FREE BROADBAND INTERNET either hard-wired or via WiFi.
The Kihei Ali'i Kai is a nice, quiet complex with pool, spa and tennis courts. Our unit is near the pool and only about 150 yards from Kama'ole Beach Park I and the Pacific Ocean.

We can't use this part of our time share this year but would like to sell it to help cover our maintenance fee. We love this location and the lagunas are awesome.
This is a new Marriott's Ko Olina Beach Club resort and is very plush.
This is an economy suite, 360 sqft suite with kitchenette, including fridge, sink and microwave. With queen size bed and sofa bed, it sleeps up to four.
We don't know and can't guarantee what view it is but because we are owners they try to give higher rooms with better view. The regular non-owner rentals typically get the lower rooms and non-ocean facing view.
It is located on quiet private lagoons and beach oases. Additionally, three swimming pools and seven Jacuzzis span the exotic Hawaiian grounds. Endless resort activities are available, including golf. Roy's is within walking distance as well.

This white sand beach is very safe so you can relax and not have to worry as your family enjoys the ocean. Get away from the hustle and bustle and escape to the pristine beach that you will have all to yourself.
Then enjoy everything this all-inclusive house has to offer. You will have everything at your fingertips to have a great time on the beach. Relax in the beach chairs or take the surfboards (4), kayaks (4), or boogie boards (4) out on the beach and catch some waves. If the water is flat use the snorkeling masks and fins (enough for the whole group) to see whats beneath the surface. For the more ambitious ones in the group discounts are available on scuba diving, dolphin and whale watching tours, and many other activities.

On the Island of Oahu, on the waterfront, near the base of Diamond Head Volcano, across the street from huge Queen Kapiolani Park, in the exclusive 20 story Colony Surf condominium building.
The "Gold Coast" is world renowned because of its many exclusive waterfront residential buildings. This location appeals to permanent residents of Hawaii, who appreciate a quieter neighborhood atmosphere; a benefit for longer stay visitors, or executives on assignment. It is a leisurely 15 minute waterfront walk to busy Waikiki amenities.
This spacious tenth floor apartment (approximately 900 square feet or 84 square meters) has spectacular, unobstructed ocean and Diamond Head views from an expansive 25 foot wide window opening (windows slide back to both sides). It is laid out as a very large Hawaiian style studio, with quite separate areas for the living room, dining room, and sleeping alcove. The kitchen is in a separate room.
This vacation condo has newer classic designer furnishings and appointments, including in-suite washer/dryer and all linens and towels. Ceramic floor tiles and carpeting throughout. Suite is on the cooler side of the building, with living room and bedroom facing south east, and kitchen and bathroom facing north west. Windows on both the front and back of the apartment, allows the trade winds to blow through, making for a comfortable atmosphere during the warmest summer days.
Kitchen includes marble and stainless steel countertops, new gas cook-top, self-cleaning gas wall oven, dishwasher, microwave, all small kitchen appliances, dishes, cutlery, etc. The dining room has an expansive Moorish-style round table which seats five or six comfortably.
Rattan furnishings are used extensively in the sleeping area, which includes a king-size bed, along with a comfortable chaise. The spacious bathroom features a marble countertop, 12 feet of new mirrored closets, and a new shower stall with excellent water pressure.
A large antique desk separates the dining and living rooms, and serves as an office area with computer workstation, complete with a power outlet, telephone, and answering machine. The telephone jack is split to accommodate a computer modem. High speed Wireless is also available from close by un-secured point source.
The living room has two open ended sofas, a large glass coffee table, and two Hawaiian style upholstered bleached oak occasional chairs. Included are a 25" color TV with cable service, DVD & VCR players and stereo with CD player.
Building has an elegant lobby, complete with valet parking for guests, an exclusive French restaurant ("Michels"), a private sandy beach (no rocks), 24 hour security, and locked-off elevators. Nearby are two smaller upscale hotels for your guests (The New Otani and The W Honolulu), and each offers more fine dining.

Pipeline to the toilet bowl, beach lovers always tend to find flawless beaches in Hawaii
The island's 112 miles of coastline allows for more than 130 beaches, making for one of the most scenic drives in the world. Swim at your own risk, and try not to cause any accidents while driving around the island.
Assuming you're in Waikiki, you'll find a 2-mile string of a dozen beaches just outside your doorstep. They stretch from the Ala Wai Yacht Basin to Diamond Head and are known as Kuhio, Sans Souci, Gray's and Kahanamoku. Ala Moana Beach Park, just west of Waikiki, is a favorite of local residents.
Another popular South Shore beach is Hanauma Bay Nature Park on Kalaniana'ole Highway just past Hawaii Kai in East Honolulu. Hanauma Bay is great for snorkeling and sunbathing, but expect it to be crowded. Back on the highway headed east, you'll travel along a rugged swell-splashed coastline interrupted first by Sandy Beach and then by Makapu'u. Both beaches are beautiful, but sometimes treacherous. (Lifeguards make more rescues at these two beaches than anywhere else in Hawaii.)
Continue on down the highway to Waimanalo Town, where you'll find Waimanalo Bay Recreational Center and Beach Park, a 4-mile stretch of generally safe always beautiful white sand beach. Kailua Bay, a favorite windsurfing and sailing location, offers three miles of sand, small shorebreaks for the beginning bodysurfer, windsurfing lessons and relatively deserted stretches of beach.
Along the coast to the North Shore are several beach parks of note-Kualoa, Kahana, Hau'ula and Mala'ekahana, all beautiful and uncrowded except on weekends. Next come Oahu's major surf spots. Known as the 7 Mile Miracle stretch from Sunset Beach to Haleiwa, beaches include Rocky Point, Ehukai Beach Park, Banzai Pipeline, Pupukea and Waimea Bay.
During winter months, waves may reach heights of up to 25 feet making these beaches definitely off limits to casual swimmers. But then, you can always watch the big wave riders.
Water safety tips worth remembering: consult lifeguards about ocean conditions before entering the water; heed all warning signs; never swim alone; never go out farther than you can swim; if you see someone in distress call for a lifeguard or dial 911; know your limits — if in doubt, don't go out; and never take what you can't carry (leave your valuables at home.)
Skin precautions are also recommended. Adjust to the sun gradually and use a broad-spectrum sunblock cream or lotion with a sun protection factor (SPF) of at least 15, maybe 21 or higher. (Many Oahu lifeguards use 30+ SPF.)
Your journey begins as you head to the windward side of the Island over the Ko’olau Mountains. Located at the base of a stunning 2,000-foot lush green cliff lies the fabled Valley of the Temples and picturesque Byodo Temple. Traveling North to Kahana Bay, your guide will happily point out native plants and seabird species at Laie Point before arriving at Kahuku where you’ll visit several shrimp farms for a glimpse of some endangered wetland birds.
Further North you’ll arrive at the famous North Shore beaches, Sunset Beach and Banzai Pipeline offer incredible waves that thrill viewers and professional surfers during the winter months, November-April. Photo opportunities await at Hale O Lono Heiau, one of Oahu's best preserved temples. Situated inside the lush Waimea Valley, this unique archaeological site is an excellent site to learn about Hawaiian native religion.
Finishing your journey are stops at Turtle Beach, colorful historic Haleiwa Town and Dole Plantation.
